Briefly Who Is Roman Naghshi?
Hi, I am Roman Naghshi, a versatile professional with over a combined 8 years of experience in the field of pedagogy. My pedagogical experience ranges from traditional classrooms to online learning platforms. I have taught both children and youth, as well as adults. I am well versed in a variety of teaching approaches and have experience creating and delivering engaging lesson plans that both challenge and motivate my students. I am passionate about education and finding creative ways to help my students learn and grow.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with close friends, watching/playing soccer, going for walks and much more. I also have an affinity for learning concepts, theories and perspectives that I am unfamiliar with. Some of my interests are in technology, health, cars, politics, the environment, and much more.

How About His Identity?
I was born and raised in London, Ontario. However, I come from a Kurdish background. I have studied French for many years at Jeanne Sauve Public School and Oakridge. I am trilingual and proud of all three cultures I represent, however my Kurdish background is particularly rich in culture and history. I strive to do good for others and spread knowledge, particularly of my Kurdish heritage and the challenges faced by this community without a nation. My trips to the Kurdish regions have reinforced the importance of family, community, and perseverance in the face of hardship. Speaking to elders and knowledge keepers from the region explained of the hardships we have faced historically, such as discrimination, repression, violence and assimilation. Even with such difficulties, I personally want to bring smiles and positivity to others by sharing knowledge and experiences in the most digestible way possible!
